The WEDICO history:

The company was founded on 1st of June 1893 as "Wesenfeld, Dicke & Co." And through the Jate 1980’s the firm produced alloys for use primarily in printing. Technical advances in that industry - resulting
in the demise of hot-metal typecasting - robbed WEDICO of vital sales markets. In 1975 these were the reasons that touched off the
search for new products to satisfy demand previously unrecognized.
At this time the firm has been devided into two different fields of business, truck modelling and metal alloys. In 1996 both production areas became independent companies of each other: While WEDICO GmbH & Co. KG took over the field of modelling, WEISSMETALL Jörg Dicke GmbH & Co. went on as responsible for the production of metal alloys.

Intensive market research resulted in the fascinating idea of TRUCK MODELLING. As we were used to the NF metals, it was a natural progression for the models to be made from metal also. Aluminium
and stainless steel are particularly significant here. In order to translate this hobby into action, the WEDICO designers developed the system construction, which will continue as a basis for all future new
and advanced developments. The same is valied for the WEDICO Complete Kit programme.

Every modeler has the opportunity to personalize his model. All kits can be built with R / C due to the large range of accessories along with electronic and driving options.

This distinguishes our products from plastic modeling.

All components can be screwed together in our kits instead of sticking together. This method allows parts to be changed or changed and uses new developments without having to buy a new model.

All painted metal parts such as cabins, roof and side spoiler and side rails are powder coated to achieve a professional finish. In addition to our standard colors, we can also offer powder coating in all RAL colors on request.
